How to Get Skins in Bongo Cat

The short version of how Bongo Cat skins work: drops, events, item store cosmetics, exchange, and Steam Market options.

Short Answer

You can get skins from chests, events, item store, collabs, exchanges, and the Steam Community Market. Skins are cosmetic only.

Steps

  1. 1Keep the app running while you type, click, play, or work.
  2. 2Claim the chest whenever it appears. Chests will roll a random cosmetic. May the RNG be ever in your favor!
  3. 3Check events and collections for time-gated skins that may not be in the regular drop pool.
  4. 4Use exchange when you have duplicate skins and want a rarer skin from the drop pool.
  5. 5You can always use the Steam Market to buy whatever you want, if you've got the money.

Important Notes

  • Rarity Pool: Common 90%, Uncommon 9.5%, Rare 0.49%, Epic 0.01%, and Legendary 1 in 500,000.
  • Typing more means more chests, but doesn't guarantee a rare item. Just keep the app running.
  • Some skins are tied to events, collabs or store so always keep an eye out for them.
